Korea has become one of the hottest hubs for Blockchain and it doesn’t get hotter than Korea Blockchain week 2020 which kicks off June 15th until June 21st. 4.  Silvio Micali – Professor at MIT Computer Science and AI laboratory

SilvioSilvio Micali has received his Laurea in Mathematics from the University of Rome, and his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California at Berkeley. Since 1983 he has been on the MIT faculty, in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department, where he is a Ford Professor of Engineering. Micali’s research interests are cryptography, zero-knowledge, pseudorandom generation, secure protocols, and mechanism design. Micali is the recipient of the Turing Award (in computer science), of the Goedel Prize (in theoretical computer science) and the RSA prize (in cryptography). He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

5.  Adam Back – CEO at Blockstream

Adam Back Adam Back is one of the most famous crypto-hackers out there. His hashcash proof-of-work system is used in counter spam technologies and cryptocurrency mining. It is rumored that Adam Back knows who the real Satoshi is as he worked with Satoshi on Bitcoin. Adam is the founder of Blockstream which is one of the main contributors to Bitcoin Core. Furthermore, he is actively developing the Lightning Network for Bitcoin and is considered one of the top Bitcoin experts today. In addition, he travels the world speaking about the positive uses of Blockchain especially when it comes to international money transfers.

6.  Gavin Wood – Co-Founder of Ethereum

7.  David Chaum – Co-Founder of Elixxir

David ChaumDavid Chaum the co-founder of Elixxir is a famous cryptographer who will be showcasing Praxxis digital currency to Seoul.  His aim is to make Praxxis a replacement for physical cash. Chaum created Ecash back in 1982 and many feel Satoshi was inspired by Ecash when creating Bitcoin. Currently, the white paper for Praxxis is not yet out which is why his talk at the conference will be highly anticipated. In addition, Chaum has voiced many times his displeasure at the current development of Blockchains and has an “ok I’ll do it myself” attitude which is refreshing to see.

8.  Sergey Nazarov – CEO at Chainlink

Chainlink specializes in providing highly secure and trustworthy oracles to both large enterprises and various leading smart contract development teams. He has been actively building decentralized applications for over 5 years. He became famous in the crypto space when he built the Secure Asset Exchange which became the first widely used decentralized exchange interface.
