STILE Initiative Looking for Korean Startups for their Accelerator Program

The STILE Initiative Cohort 2

STILE Initiative which is founded by Stan Group, powered by INFINITUDE, and co-organized by The Wave is calling for applications from Korean startups. They are looking for Korean startups that specialize in property tech, fintech, living tech, and other technology. The finalists of the investment-backed accelerator program in Hong Kong will get a free workspace, business matching, venture capital opportunities, and other perks. Furthermore, accommodation will be provided for Korean startups when they come to Hong Kong.

The STILE Initiative Cohort 2 continues with the goal of “Seeding your venture, growing your future”. Therefore, they are assembling startups with high business potential across Asia to participate in the accelerator program.

“To shape the future business world, we need next-generation entrepreneurs and innovative ideas. The STILE Initiative is the platform designed to foster both. Along the way, we envision to build the business ecosystem of Stan Group, which drives changes and brings breakthrough to the market, as well as the society,” said Mr. Stan Tang, the Chairman of Stan Group.

The STILE Initiative Cohort 1

The STILE Initiative Cohort 1 was immensely successful. It attracted over 500 startups from 11 cities in the Asia-Pacific region. Startups went through multiple rounds of interviews. The five startups selected, spanned across areas in the digitalization of assets, portfolio management for crypto-assets, microfinancing, hotel reservation, and property management. They were selected for the 4-month program. Therefore they were able to gain extensive industry knowledge and business development opportunities through practical experiences in the program. Furthermore, after the program, 60% of the teams obtained commercial contracts and 60% received investment from Stan Group. In addition, 40% received external investment funding.

The STILE Initiative Cohort 2

The STILE Initiative Cohort 2 recruitment will focus on

• property tech – which includes sustainable property technology, digital transformation for property management, storage/warehouse management, urban eco-friendly technology, and other related applications
• living tech – which includes hospitality, smart aging, co-living, retail, media & PR, STEM, and other related applications
• fintech – which includes markets & exchanges, wealth management, payments, lending & financing, insurance, and other related applications

Other technology clusters are also welcome to apply

The STILE Initiative Accelerator Program

This is a 3-month accelerator program. It includes a series of boot camps, workshops, business networking sessions, and mentorships. Furthermore, the boot camps and tailored mentorship will be led by experts for hands-on support. In addition, other benefits include business matching opportunities with Stan Group’s business unit and affiliates, free office space, and facilities at prime locations, free accommodation for non-local startups. Perks value up to $120,000HK per team. They are now open for applications. The deadline for non-local and local startups is 31st of March 2020 and 30th of April 2020 respectively. The program will begin in June and graduation right will be held in September 2020.
